Heart is So Necessary

Just like many music fans, Heart is essential your music library.  Without it, there is an obvious void.  They were the definitive female '80s rock band, with many hits like Barracuda, Crazy on You, and Alone.  If you haven't heard any of these, please do yourself and me a favor and youtube that. please.  Anyways, the reason for this post? Well, I'm a huge fan of Allison Iraheta and Orianthi, and currently they are on tour with Adam Lambert and the Glam Nation Tour.  Again, the relevance? Well, this following video will give you the reasons why, and the reason why they would be the perfect team for a reincarnation of Heart! =)

Carnival of Madness Tour

So my the amazingness of my friend Caryn, I was able to go to the Carnival of Madness Tour this past Wednesday at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.  I've never been a huge fan of rock music, although I've always enjoyed it.  I went expecting a great time, and I certainly got it.  The lineup included: 10 years, Puddle of Mud, Chevelle, Sevendust, and Shinedown.  While the first four bands were great, they lacked true stage presence and showmanship.  Shinedown, however, engaged the crowd, interacted, and even came into the crowd for part of their set.  Amazingggggg! I've never listened to them before now, but now I'm a huge fan haha.  If you haven't heard of any of their music, here you go:

Got a new direction

Trying to pack to much in a single suitcase is tough.  Deciding on what to take is the first step.  I've never been good with packing, even for short trips like this, but I have to try to get through.  As I'm packing, I'm thinking how I've never been on a bus trip before; it should be a new crazy, fun experience I can add to my life.  I'm going to New York City for the Latin Alternative Music Conference.  To say the least, I know virtually nothing about the latin music scene, but I'm ready, open, and willing to learn and meet some great people.  Also, I'll be able to reconnect with tons of other people I haven't seen in a few years.  Overall, it should be a great trip.  Meanwhile, I have a video from the American Idols Tour 2010 featuring Siobhan Magnus.  I will post pictures and share stories when I have them =)

Investor emerges

Hmm.  American Idol just might see some major changes in the future as there are talks about it's parent company CKx might be sold to interested investors.
